How I run my business with Bots
How I used a Grok Bot to find where my phone number is listed online
In short
Spam calls often start with your number on public listing sites. Here's how a Bot can search for those listings, list the opt-out pages, and draft removal requests for you to send.
If you get a lot of spam calls, your number is probably listed on people-search and directory sites. Removing it is tedious: dozens of sites, each with its own opt-out page. A Bot can do the searching and paperwork. You stay in charge of what gets sent.
What the Bot does
- Searches public directory and reverse-lookup sites for your number.
- Builds a table: site, whether you're listed, what it shows, and the opt-out link.
- Notes which opt-outs need a web form, an email, or a sign-in.
- Drafts the removal requests for you.
What you do
- Decide which removals to request.
- Approve each email before it goes out, or fill in forms yourself.
- Handle any sign-in or verification code yourself, using Take over. Never type a code into the chat.
A starting instruction
"Find public web listings of my phone number. For each site, tell me if I'm listed, what it shows, and the opt-out link and method. Put it in a table. Draft removal requests but do not send or submit anything."
Do it again later
Listings come back. A routine that re-checks every few months keeps things tidy.

Questions people ask
Will this stop all spam calls?
No. It removes public listings it can find, which helps, but it can't control lists that aren't public.
